Google announced today via their blog that the full desktop version of Google Docs is now available for the iPad. That’s right, you can now get the full desktop editing features from Google Docs on your iPad. Google allowed simple editing awhile back, but now all of the features are finally available. All you need to do is click on the Desktop version of the editor and you be directed to the full version. This upgrade now allows editing to word processing and spreadsheets with presentations to follow later. Yes, you can even edit Microsoft Word documents now through Google Docs. The entire service has been updated and streamlined for speed and easy navigation on the iPad. Nice. Free.

I created google doc spreadsheet lab templates for my chem students this week, but not being an ipad or mac person I have several questions on navigation
1. how do you get back to cell 1A–finger swiping doesn’t always work
2. how do you pull up the keyboard–when I touch a cell the keyboard doesn’t always come up.
3. how do you go to a specific cell
