Wired Educator just learned via email from Annie Agnew, a distinguished member of the Australian Apple Distinguished Educator Team, that the Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) Program will continue.  (Applause!!!) Many readers, including myself, were very saddened to learn that the Apple Learning Interchange (ALI) which houses content and forums for many ADE members and interested educators, as well as contact and sign up information for the ADE Program will be coming to an end on September 3, 2010.  We, as well as others, worried that the closure of the ALI could also mean the end of the ADE.

Angie is putting Wired Educator in contact with the US ADE Team to learn more about the changes as well as the future domain for the ADE Program. Stay tuned.  We will keep you updated as we learn more.

If you would like to learn more about the Apple Distinguished Educator Program visit http://edcommunity.apple.com/ali/story.php?itemID=9671, but hurry; it closes Sept 3, 2010.

The Apple Distinguished Educator Program will be taking applications for the 2011 Team soon.
